College 101

If only my parents really knew what they are paying all this money for me to do...

Just kidding actually.

So I started this at the suggestion of one of my teacher's (Phillip Bishop, A.O.K). He told me that he has found that memories fade over time, so in the interest of self-preservation (because what are we, if not a collection of memories) I decided to start writing about my life here at USF.

Tonight was a good night It was one of those nights that make you want to suck in a deep breath of all the life, love and laughter floating around in the air and breathe it out real slow with a sigh.

Suprisingly though the actual day didn't go so well. For a variety of reasons I was in one of those weird funks you climb into and can't seem to climb out of. But anywho, the afternoon went marvelously.

Started out with a meeting with my ORC trip co-leader. She's an awesome girl, I really enjoyed talking with her. Then I took care of something with a friend that needed sorting out, that took a big load off my shoulders. Had dinner with two of my really good friends (and neighbors).
ate WAY to many cookies from the decorate your own cookie bar (and they wonder why we're fat, who can resist that?) I digress...
So headed off to Boba with two of my friends from 3300. It was amazing, as per usual. I love the atmosphere there, it's so friendly. The place attracts some real talent. Had a great time getting to know some of my new friends better. Walked back to J-pop afterwords.
That's when the real party began. The original plan was to go up to the parking garage roof to take a look around and play with Joseph's new mini long board. Ended up grabbing sterski and rohan as well. Got up there. It's such a beautiful view, played with Joseph's little laser and managed to get the attention of Kling and keven. Who went and grabbed the research grade laser from X-labs, had a LOT of fun with that. After that was over Keven took me on a little tour of X-labs. Just about the coolest thing I've done in awhile. They have all this awesome scientific stuff just laying around, like a Tesla coil, a nuclear reactor and all sorts of other neat stuff.

It's almost surreal being here in college. I grew up reading popular science and popular mechanics and the Orlando sentinel. So I knew that some where out there, there were people doing all the cool stuff I was reading about, but I didn't think I'd ever meet them.

Okay its almost 2:30, if I want to get anything done tomorrow I need to go to sleep.
Peace out
Sarah Jo
